ME / SERIES
MARC II
Forced Draft Burners |
 |
The ME/Series burner is available to burn gas, #2 oil, #4 oil, #6
oil and gas/oil combination and is available in 6 model sizes for boilers ranging in
size from 80HP to 250HP. The ME/Series is approved for use in NYC by the Department of Air
resources and the City of New York Department of Buildings. The MEA number on the
ME/Series is MEA-159-74-E.
Marc II Burners
The Marc II uses Forced Draft Technology
(for firing against high furnace pressure) which is suitable for neutral or negative
draft systems.
The Marc II burners utilize an advanced air handling system resulting in low blower motor
horsepower, significantly lower noise levels and the ability to fire against higher
furnace pressures.
Swing Away Air Housing
The hinged air housing provides easy access
to the nozzle, scanner, pilot and diffuser for inspection or removal. No
disconnection of fuel or power lines is required. |

Precise
Oil Metering
The positive displacement piston type oil
metering unit is an outstanding design feature on all Industrial Combustion air atomizing
burners. This unit precisely meters oil volume and is not affected by changes in oil
temperature or viscosity. Accurate and reliable at all firing rates, the oil metering unit
is mounted on the burner and is driven by a separate motor. Shown to the right is
IC's L-Pump. |
 |
Oil Nozzle
The Industrial Combustion designed low
pressure air atomizing nozzle achieves the best atomization of oil for each burner model
and application. Air is purged through the large nozzle orifice after each burner cycle to
prevent afterdrip and fouling. |
 |
Air Compressor Module
A remote air compressor module provides
atomizing air for all No. 6 oil burners and other large oil models. The module includes
IC's rotary vane, pressure lubricated air compressor, air/oil lubricating reservoir, oil
level indicator, inlet air filter, air pressure adjusting valve and air pressure gauge. |
 |
Efficient Gas Combustion
Gas is introduced through orifices ahead of
the diffuser providing superior mixing of gas and air with excellent flame retention at
all firing rates. The gas manifold is standard on all oil burners for future gas firing. |
 |
Combustion Air Impeller
The heart of the burner's combustion air
system is a highly efficient backward curved aluminum impeller. The impeller
maintains its original balance by not collecting dirt on the vanes as will ordinary
forward curved impellers. Impellers can be provided for high furnace pressure, high
altitude and 50 cycle applications. |
